Bag2School

On Thursday 30th June Bag2school (https://bag2school.com/) will be visiting Ysgol Cynddelw. They are a fundraising scheme to raise funds using a resource EVERYONE has got in their wardrobe – unwanted clothes The school will receive a donation for every kg of unwanted items donated. Please look at the list of items that Bag2school collect (and don’t collect). Please send in items for recycling to school in a bin bag anytime during the week of the 27th June.

Household bedding (bed sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers)

* We reserve the right to refuse any unsuitable items

We DO NOT accept:

Duvets and blankets
Pillows and cushions
Carpets, rugs and mats (including bath, shower and toilet mats)
Soiled, painted, ripped or wet clothing
School uniforms with and without logo
Corporate clothing and workwear
Textile off cuts, yarns or threaded material

Pollution/Llygredd

Mae’r Cyngor Eco yn gofyn yn garedig i rieni beidio â gadael eu ceir yn rhedeg wrth gasglu eu plentyn ar ddiwedd y diwrnod ysgol. Mae mygdarthau o’r ceir yn llygru’r awyrgylch ac yn gwneud amseroedd codi’n annymunol.

The Eco-council are kindly asking that parents don’t leave their cars running when picking up their child at the end of the school day. Fumes from the cars are polluting the atmosphere and making pick-up times unpleasant.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Public Health Team are delighted to announce that a multi-user licence for four Solihull Approach online courses has been purchased and will be launched on Wednesday April 29th.

This means, every single resident within North Wales will have the opportunity to access the online courses completely free of charge which is a timely opportunity to support parents during these unprecedented times.

The online courses are available bilingually and include:

Understanding Pregnancy, Labour, Birth and your Baby – online course for everyone around the baby (Mums, Dads, Grandparents, friends and relations). Written by Registered Midwives and NHS Professionals
Understanding your Baby – Online course for everyone around the baby, supporting you and the new arrival. Written by Psychologists, Psychotherapists and Health Visitors
Understanding your Child – Popular online course about being the best parent, grandparent or carer. Award winning with trusted content
Understanding your Teenagers Brain (short course) – explaining what happens to the brain in adolescence and how this explains some of the changes you may have noticed about their behaviour

The Solihull Approach courses are evidence based and accredited by the Department for Education (DfE) and aim to improve emotional health and wellbeing by supporting relationships (www.solihullapproachparenting.com).

Dawns – Dinas Emrys

We were lucky to take part in three dance sessions where we depicted the story of Dinas Emrys in a creative way.

Eisteddfod Cynddelw 2-3-20

Cawsom hwyl heddiw yn perfformio ein caneuon ar gyfer ein Heisteddfod ysgol. Bu’r disgyblion i gyd yn cymryd rhan a daeth disgyblion o Ysgol Llanarmon D.C. i farnu’r perfformiadau. Cyhoeddwyd enillwyr y gystadleuaeth gelf hefyd.

We enjoyed performing our songs tday at our school Eisteddfod. All the pupils took part and pupils from Ysgol Llanarmon D.C. came to judge the performances. The winners of the art competition were also announced.
